Don Bosco Feast 2013




What a wonderful day it was the 1st of February in which the school celebrated the feast of Don Bosco. The feast day was shifted from 31st to 1st February 2013. This day began with mass celebrated by the guest of honor fr. Antonio Javier Barrientos who is the youth delegate and the provincial secretary. Thanks for his presence.

After the holy Eucharist we had Don Bosco quiz in which the student expresses their good knowledge of Don Bosco and the Salesian congregation. The first position was scoped by the accounting student followed by the Auto mechanics students and the third position went to Information and Technology. Thanks to the quiz master, Mr. Precious Chilupysa and his team for the good organization of the quiz. Immediately after the quiz we had students’ activities. It was wonderful to see students showing their different talent through different activities they performed from their respective sections. The winner the students’ activities was Fashion art and beauty section that performed a well thought off play.

The feast of Don Bosco 2013 did not only end with the indoor activities but also the outdoor games which were played in the afternoon. On this day we had the finals for the cup of Don Bosco which was sponsored by the past pupils. Thanks to our former students for their contributions they made over this feast and more particularly in the tournament we had. Michael Rua group which comprised of accounting and brick laying sections took the first position in football, Mazarrelo which consisted of Information Technology and carpentry section took number one in volley and Laura Vicuna composed of Electrical and Hotel scoped first position in netball. Thanks to the chief official Mr. Masala and his team for their organization.

The feast of Don Bosco ended with the prize giving around 16:45 hours with the presence of the principal, Fr. Michael, the vice principal the representatives of the past pupils and Mr. and Miss Don Bosco. It was indeed a memory day for both students and staffs of Don Bosco College.
